Position Overview
Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a CNO Reverse Engineer to support the analysis, reverse engineering, and development of advanced Cyber Network Operations (CNO) capabilities. This role performs detailed hardware and software reverse engineering to identify system functionality, analyze code structures, and develop proof-of-concept solutions that support mission requirements. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in low-level programming, reverse engineering methodologies, and technical analysis of complex operating systems and applications.
What You'll Do
- Perform reverse engineering of hardware components, software applications, operating systems, and firmware to determine functionality, code structure, and system behavior
- Analyze software and hardware architectures to support the development of Cyber Network Operations (CNO) tools and techniques
- Develop proof-of-concept code, prototypes, and technical solutions based on reverse engineering findings
- Program and develop software using Assembly, C, C#, C++, Java, Perl, and/or Python
- Utilize commercial, Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS), and open-source reverse engineering tools to analyze software and hardware components
- Develop and support Cyber Network Operations (CNO) tools and capabilities
- Perform kernel-level analysis and programming to evaluate low-level operating system functionality
- Conduct computer forensic analysis to support technical investigations and mission requirements
- Utilize software version control systems, including Subversion (SVN), CVS, or similar source code management tools
- Document reverse engineering methodologies, technical findings, and analytical results through comprehensive written reports
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, demonstrations, and presentations to engineering teams and Government stakeholders
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, and mission teams to integrate reverse engineering findings into operational capabilities
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and engineering discussions to support the software development lifecycle
- Ensure technical products meet Government engineering standards, mission objectives, and customer requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of directly related professional experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of related experience; or High school diploma with 12 years of directly related professional experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing hardware or software reverse engineering
- Experience reverse engineering operating systems, software applications, hardware components, or firmware
- Proficiency programming in one or more of the following languages: Assembly, C, C#, C++, Java, Perl and Python
- Experience using hardware and software reverse engineering tools
- Experience developing or supporting Cyber Network Operations (CNO) tools and techniques
- Experience with software version control systems such as Subversion (SVN), CVS, or comparable source control platforms
- Experience developing proof-of-concept code, prototypes, and technical demonstrations
- Experience producing detailed technical documentation and analytical reports
- Experience presenting complex technical concepts to engineering teams and Government stakeholders
- Knowledge of computer forensics methodologies and investigative techniques
- Experience with kernel-level programming and low-level operating system internals
- Strong analytical, debugging, reverse engineering, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting mission-critical cyber operations
