Position Description 

We are seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers while gaining hands-on experience in analysis, design, and preparation of construction documents. As an EIT, you’ll be involved in a variety of structural systems and project types, building the skills and knowledge needed to progress toward professional licensure.

Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 annually.

Required Qualifications** 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from ABET accredited four-year University
  • 2+ years job related experience on projects within the United States
  • Basic knowledge of Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to solve problems using basic structural engineering principles
  • High level of collaboration and communication
  • Ability to effectively manage time

Preferred Qualifications** 

  • Ideally have passed the FE or have EIT certification, or able to complete within 6 months of hire

Position Responsibilities*** 

  • Perform research into local jurisdictional requirements
  • Provide and implement basic code requirements
  • Perform basic structural engineering analysis and develop design calculations
  • Work with a Senior Engineer to develop Construction Documents (Plans and Specifications)
  • Work with and direct BIM staff in development of construction documents
  • Perform Engineering Studies and Prepare Reports
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and compare with industry benchmarks

*Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
