Position Description 

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Design Professional with 0-4 years of experience to join our integrated architecture and engineering team.

As a Design Professional with Cushing Terrell, you will collaborate with project teams on architectural design, project development, construction documents, and construction administration. Design Professionals develop design and technical solutions under the direct supervision of an experienced architect.

In this role, you’ll contribute to exciting, dynamic projects including education, retail, and commercial project types where creative thinking and strong technical execution are equally valued.  Working alongside architects and engineers, you’ll help develop design concepts, translate ideas into buildable solutions, and gain hands-on experience across all phases of a project. We’re looking for someone who brings a high level of creativity, curiosity, and a drive to push ideas further. 

Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $57,000 to $65,000 annually.

Required Qualifications** 

  • NAAB-accredited architecture degree required
  • 0-4 years of experience in architecture
  • A passion for knowledge transfer and work sharing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Education, Commercial, or Retail experience is a plus

    Position Responsibilities*** 

    • Provide an out-of-this-world experience for our clients that cannot be replicated anywhere else
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary project team throughout all phases of a project, from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration
    • Develop design and technical solutions and documentation under the direct supervision of an experienced architect
    • Participate in observation and documentation of existing building conditions
    • Have excellent design skills and strong technical proficiency including experience in working in the following platforms: Autodesk, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
    • Have strong Revit skills

    *Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.

    ***The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.
