You will be the creative engine of our teams and our projects, developing a quality, unified and sustainable design. You will be called upon to lead architectural project development teams, in partnership with talented designers, engineers, and business professionals across our 14 offices.    
    
What you will bring to the table:    
  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture
  • 10-15 years of design experience in the architectural profession
  • Architectural Licensure, LEED accredited is a plus
  • A passion for creative, collaborative, client-focused design 
  • The ability to effectively communicate with design teams, contractors, and clients
  • Drive and ability to develop new business opportunities within the local market
    
As a Team Member at Cushing Terrell, you will…    
  • Lead project development and project teams from inception to completion
  • Collaboratively lead the architecture and integrated engineering teams on a variety of project types with varying scales and budgets
  • Work collaboratively with the project team to maintain the integrity of a design concept as the project develops
  • Initiate, maintain, and develop relationships with day to day clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on a number of projects
  • Influence, nurture and mentor colleagues in-house and externally inspiring them to meet set targets in creating and presenting their best work
  • Constructively question and develop concepts, responding effectively, using your own initiative to analyze options and priorities
  • Be Inquisitive, reliable, and adaptable
  • Communicate complex ideas simply and passionately
  • Should have excellent graphic communication skills and ability to perform analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies and limited design layouts
  • Create plausible conceptual or detailed solutions That delight our clients and respond to all of their priorities including budget and schedule
  • Anticipate and deal appropriately with changing circumstances
  • Be motivated and self-reliant, maintaining collaborative working relationships and assisting with the development of emerging professionals
  • Be comfortable and have experience with technically complex projects, and the knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the design of the projects
  • Have excellent design skills and strong technical proficiency including experience in working in the following platforms: SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite and the ability to hand sketch
  • Organize and lead meetings involving internal & external clients/partners related to architectural development
The majority of the time a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist and reach. On occasion individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field surveys.   
    
Compensation   
The expected salary range for this position is $71,000 to $93,000 annually and is based on the location/s posted. If you are a candidate living outside of (this region/these regions), we still encourage you to apply as salary ranges may differ across states/cities/job markets.    
Actual pay will be determined based on your years of experience, licensure status, location, level of proficiency, and other job-related factors (as permitted by law). The position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
