Description

The Proposal Writer will take a lead role in responding to state and district solicitations. The person hired for this role will work closely with the Sales team, subject matter experts, and Bids & Proposals colleagues to develop compliant, compelling proposals on deadline.

The impact you'll have:

  • Understand RFP requirements and craft appropriate responses that highlight Curriculum Associates’ strengths and competitive advantages.
  • Develop creative and compelling copy to effectively market our programs and services to educators through the vehicle of a narrative sales proposal.
  • Partner with the Proposal Management team and other relevant CA teams at all stages of the proposal development process to fully understand the context for the opportunity and write about our win themes and differentiators
  • Solicit and incorporate cross-functional team edits into proposal drafts.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Bids & Proposals team to ensure timely and compliant production and shipment of proposals. This includes leading the digital page-turn review of the final proposal prior to production by the Production team
  • Participate in debrief analyses, share lessons learned with colleagues, and incorporate those refinements into subsequent proposals.
  • Other relevant duties, as assigned

  • Fast and nimble research capabilities—ability to synthesize essential information from large, complex documents
  • The ability to thrive and maintain a sense of humor in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • A team player who works productively and cooperatively with a wide range of people and personalities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively across teams with competing needs, including the demonstrated ability to use varying styles, approaches, skills, and techniques to communicate with various constituents with diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, and other standard business applications
  • 2+ years of experience writing proposals, preferably in a K-12 education/publishing environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Qvidian experience
