eLearning Developer, Digital Professional Development

 

The eLearning Developer, Digital Professional Development plays an integral role in the development of exceptional online professional development. This team member works closely with instructional design and content experts to build and deploy eLearning experiences that help educators succeed with CA products.

 

This is a hands-on role on an emerging team. You’ll have a chance to create the blueprint for great digital PD materials, leveraging your eLearning expertise to create the future of CA’s online professional development.

The impact you’ll have:

Collaborate on eLearning design and requirements

  • Understand Curriculum Associates’ complementary PD delivery formats and content, including instructor support resources and on-site PD sessions
  • Working with third party vendors, including digital agencies, authoring tools providers, and LMS companies
  • Partner with CA subject matter experts and instructional designers to design effective eLearning approaches to our learning objectives

 

Create eLearning Content

  • Build engaging activities and compelling course content that fulfill learning objectives, primarily using Articulate Storyline
  • Create exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure effectiveness
  • Work with SMEs to ensure that PD content is accurate and error-free

 

Deliver CA eLearning and Innovate for Tomorrow

  • Launch eLearning modules in CA’s Learning Management Systems
  • Use available data and market feedback to understand how educators respond to our PD offerings
  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience in eLearning development and implementing learning technology
  • Proficiency in multiple authoring tools (Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.) to develop eLearning courses
  • Experience delivering eLearning content through an LMS, ideally with administrative responsibilities
  • Familiarity with LMS, CMS, and E-Learning standards (AICC, SCORM, xAPI, etc.)
  • Experience delivering educational content through learning management systems
  • Proven project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of effective relationship management

We’d also love to see: 

  • MA degree in instructional design, computer science, educational technology or similar relevant field
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and experience building professional development courses
  • Web development in HTML5 and CSS
  • Use of JavaScript within Storyline or other eLearning tool
  • Development of social eLearning experiences
  • Experience producing digital media (video, animations)
  • Strength in self-driven performance and initiatives
