Employment Status: Fulltime

Salary: CI$39,574 to CI$51,446 per annum (no income tax)

Overtime Eligibility: Yes

Work Environment: Corporate

Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

   Assist the Manager of EHS with preparing monthly, quarterly and year-end reports and EHS Document Control & Record Management.

   Maintain the EHS Training matrix, schedule and monitor expiry dates in HSI / EHS Software, prepare training material provided by EHS Specialist/Manager, issuing of EHS training reports and maintaining EHS training records with HR (Learning & Development).

 Assist with coordinating EHS departmental meetings and special events, including booking rooms, taking minutes of meetings and sending out and follow up on items to participants (including emergency preparedness support).

     Preparing purchase orders and invoices for EHS vendors.

    Assist with external and internal audits of the EMS and OHSMS including entering audit findings into IntelexEHS Software, following up with corrective actions, and issuing audit findings as instructed by the Manager EHS.

   EHS Communications and departmental, general administrative support such as the formatting and distribution of EHS bulletins, awareness posters, and reminders and managing the EHS inbox by addressing and or rerouting EHS inquiries to the required level.

       Other duties as required.

 

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

       A High school diploma and 2 years’ administrative experience or an Associate degree (ideally in:  EHS, Utilities, Construction, Industrial/operations environment).

       Valid and current CI Driver’s License.

       Coursework in environmental, health and safety (e.g. First Aid, CPR and AED certified) preferred. 

 

Key Competencies

       Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills. 

       Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite programs.

       Able to multitask and prioritize and meet deadlines.

       Attention to detail / Accuracy

       Document control mastery, data quality and record keeping
