Work Environment: Corporate

Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Initiates, tracks and reports on collection activities in line with established policies and procedures.   Investigate customer accounts and plan for disconnection of service, liaise with collection agencies/lawyers as needed.  Recommend changes to policies and procedures based upon analysis and identified requirements.
  • Oversees Remote Payment Agents: Ensures timely batch processing, reviews transactions for accuracy, ensure agent compliance with contractual requirements.  Organize training of remote payment agent staff members and review of requisite documentation.  Ensure RPA agreements remain current.
  • Oversees investigation of collection discrepancies/errors including payment arrangements out of tolerance; follows up on high risk account balances to determine if additional collection action is required or escalates to others.   
  • Responsible for drafting CSD reporting to the Company executives, parent company, affiliated bodies and regulators
  • Manages KPI data entry; monitors and identifies trends in transaction processing such as billing issues, revenue and back billing adjustments, etc.  Review documentation related to electricity consumption calculations, billing adjustments and related processes for accuracy, timeliness and completeness.

 

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience combined in a revenue, analytical, audit or finance environment required.
  • Over 5 years’ supervisory experience preferred.

 

Key Competencies:

       Highly developed understanding of analytical & statistical procedures and implications.

       Highly developed ability to analyze information and determine the most appropriate course of action to resolve complex problems in varying sections and situations.

       Knowledge of active and inactive collections activities including bankruptcy and other legislation provisions related to debt collection.

       Ability to review and ensure adherence to contractual obligations by third parties.
