Employment Opportunity  :SCADA Engineer

 

Department: Electrical Maintenance

Employment Status: Fulltime

Salary: CI$67,561 to CI$87,829 per year (no income tax)

Overtime Eligibility: No

Work Environment: Plant Area

Corporate – Workspace is primarily in the Administrative Building

In Field – Workspace is primarily Off Site at various locations around the island

Plant Area- Workspace is primarily in the Power Plant Area

Hybrid – Workspace is a combination of in the Administrative Building and in the Field or in the Plant Area

Satellite- Workspace is at one of CUC’s satellite locations

 

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

       Application support of the new SCADA system software.

       Assist in the development and delivery of training related to the new SCADA system.

       Assist in systems integration of the new SCADA system and corporate applications.

       Responsible to work with vendors and CUC O&M to resolve systems issues.

       Responsible to resolve queries from system users and stakeholders.

       Responsible to maintain the SCADA system within performance specifications.

       Other duties as required.

 

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

       Bachelors degree in electrical, electronic or related engineering.  Must possess Professional Engineer designation or equivalent or be able to prove that is working towards achieving this.

       Minimum of five (5) years related engineering experience.

       Knowledge of SCADA, RTU, PLC and control systems and components used for the generation, transmission and distribution of power.

       Knowledge of data communications protocols, networking equipment and computer operating systems..
