Director of International

The primary role of this position is to lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of CSI’s international strategy and operating plans within selected geographies.  In addition to responsibility for achieving revenue and profitability targets, primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide vision, leadership and management of CSI’s International business including oversight and management of Distributor(s) in selected geographies
  • Lead CSI cross-functional teams in the upstream and downstream execution of operating plans
  • Develop and implement the CSI’s international strategy


  • Distributor and Geography (Country/Region) Oversight
    • Provide general management and oversight of CSI’s business in selected geographies
    • Serve as the CSI relationship manager and point person management of Distributor(s) and CSI in-country personnel or consultants
    • Responsible for achieving revenue and profitability targets in selected geographies
      • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and profitability targets defined in the Annual Operating Plan
      • Develop and implement effective expense budgeting and sales forecasting process with Distributor and CSI cross-functional teams
      • Lead periodic Country/Region business update meetings/calls and provide updates to CSI teams
    • Develop CSI-KOL and physician specialty society relationships in the Country/Region
    • Monitor Distributor performance and implement continuous improvement plans
  • International Cross-Functional Team Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute plans for:
      • Securing product regulatory and reimbursement approvals
      • Developing and executing product launches and market penetration strategies with Distributor(s)
      • Training and education of physicians and Distributor(s)
      • Ensuring effective CSI and Distributor quality assurance processes
      • Implementing a scalable international supply chain
    • Serve as liaison between CSI International team and CSI Franchise Teams
    • As needed, take on functional role responsibilities when capacity constraints exist with core team members
  • International Strategy
    • Lead the development and execution of CSI’s international strategy
    • Work with Franchise teams to develop and manage product portfolio strategy for CSI International products
    • Work with Franchise teams to prioritize potential international market opportunities
    • Participate in CSI international business development activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field/ Post Graduate degree preferred  
  • 10 years of work experience in medical device industry
  • 5 years of work experience in project and/or product management and leading teams
  • Prefer experience with launching products internationally and partnering with Distributors
  • Demonstrated leadership managing teams including leading and managing through influence
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience developing relationships with key opinion leaders and physicians
  • Experience effectively engaging with senior level executives of partner companies and other third party entities such as regulatory bodies
  • Effective strategic, operational and management skills
  • Able to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, analytical and presentation skills
  • Able to travel internationally up to 50%
