Job Summary:

The primary function of the Global Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) is to assist with the implementation of the international training and education plan aligned with the overall Marketing and Sales objectives. This training will occur in International locations (to include EU, Asia Pacific, and Japan among other geographies). This role will provide the clinical support and case coverage needed to certify physicians on OAS procedures and train CSI (distributor) field representatives on clinical and business content for both Coronary and Peripheral, as well as associate future products.

 

This role will interact with multiple physician specialties to include; Interventional Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons and Angiologists. This role will also help to support clinical study enrollments. Collaborates with Country managers and field sales reps, CSI International, Marketing and Sales training. This role will report to the Geography Lead for Medical Affairs.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Physician Certification
  • Deliver Didactic presentations to physicians as a component of the international certification process
  • Consult with and certify physicians on performing OAS procedures
  • Ensure optimal patient safety outcomes as part of CSI’s International expansion strategy
  • Instruct and ensure quality reporting is done in an accurate and timely manner
  • Manage and obtain all training and certification records

 Field representative/ Distributor Training
  • Assist in the delivering classroom didactic sessions within international regions
  • Deliver Competency Checklist content to develop Field representatives
  • Case observations focusing on Coronary Anatomy & Angiography Basics
  • Training on Key Messaging and Value Proposition
  • Once Field Reps are confirmed for training, Coordinate


Phase I Home Study
  • Own the Process and Implementation of Proctoring Requires Cases for Field Rep Certification – Phase III
  • Minimum of 6 proctored cases with each field rep
  • Provide additional case proctoring until rep is 100% capable and confident to manage cases
  • Manage and obtain all training and certification records
 Advanced Field Training for Distributors/Field Representatives
  • Deliver the following content: Clinical data, technique optimization, new product launches

 

Required skills for Successful Job Performance:

  • 5+ years of experience in interventional cardiology sales and/or clinical role
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • High energy and results-oriented individual with business experience and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Entrepreneurial “hands-on” experience. Pro-active and “can do” attitude
  • This role works remotely and requires the ability to travel internationally 80% of the time
  • Documented success in training interventional cardiologists on products and procedures
  • Experience training sales reps in formal training programs, either in the field or in-house
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills with all levels of customers and management
  • Complete mastery of both coronary and peripheral anatomy, physiology and interventional procedures
  • Complete understanding of interventional diagnostic and therapeutic products including:  guides, guide selection criteria, and products commonly used to treat complex coronary PCIs and peripheral interventions
  • Comfortable leading selling scenarios, case study reviews and role-plays to drive home key messaging, key competencies and overcoming objections
  • Comfortable presenting clinical data to a variety of audiences (sales, physicians, non-clinical personnel) in a compelling and credible fashion
  • This role requires a global mindset with the ability to adapt to multiple cultures and business environments
  • This role requires the ability to work independently with limited supervision while adhering to the overall International and Medical Affairs objectives
  • Demonstrate the skills required to promote a premium product

 

Specifications and Preferred skills

  • International experience preferred
  • Direct Cath Lab experience or clinical/nursing/physician background
  • Prefer candidate who has experience training on complex specialty products that require certification
  • When not traveling internationally, employee may be expected to assist US based training upon request

  • This role will report on day to day business and clinical needs at the core team level as well as anticipate issues that could prohibit the ability to provide coverage for procedures or meet overall objectives.
