Mainframe COBOL/IDMS Programmer

Job Description   

Our customer has an immediate need for a Mainframe COBOL/IDMS Programmer to support a large mainframe payroll application. This role will be part of the Programming Team with responsibility of translating software requirements into design specifications and coding the new requirements  
   

Minimum Requirements    
  • Working knowledge of DMLO, REXX, CLIST, IDMS SQL, and JCL. 
  • Minimum 3-5 years COBOL/IDMS programming experience.
  • Security+ Certification is required prior to starting.
  • Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
  • A degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills    
  • Experience with AGILE methodology..
  • Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
  • Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
