Job Description
CSCI Consulting is looking for a Software Configuration Manager. The Software Configuration Manager is a key player in the management of software development processes. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working independently as well as collaboratively with a team. The position will be based out of Indianapolis, Indiana and will be remote.
 
Responsibilities
  • Configuration Management: Oversee and ensure the integrity and consistency of software products throughout the project lifecycle1.
  • System Maintenance: Manage, maintain, and update product configurations to support various stages of development, testing, and deployment.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and improve release management processes for a reliable, standardized, and high-quality release function.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team, including developing and managing schedules.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor QA testing to ensure releases meet quality standards2.
  • Documentation: Prepare complete configuration documentation and oversee the management of configuration items.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must obtain Security+ Certification prior to start date.
  • Experience with Oracle, Forms/Reports, APEX, GitLab and PL/SQL.
  • 4+ years’ experience using automate software in a Software Configuration Manger role.
  • Knowledge of batch file processing
Preferred Skills
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of configuration management and automated tools, full software development life cycle, and quality assurance practices.
  • Leadership: Experience in working in a team environment and managing schedules.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills to engage with business and IT management.
