Account Manager
Description
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing and coordinating customer relationships by developing new contacts and business opportunities, identifying their needs and providing them with appropriate information. This position’s objectives include overseeing projects and cultivating business relationships with accounts, which exceed customer’s expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Be able to effectively interact with hotel and motel owners, management companies and corporate decision makers concerning program presentation, property assessment, customer proposals and service issues.
- Assist program coordinator with processing of completed project data into the various program tracking systems.
- Assist with effective and accurate inventory management and disbursement.
- Prepare monthly activity reports.
- Demonstrate effective project management skills in leading these efforts
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Required-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, engineering, or other discipline.
- Preferred- Advanced degree
Work Experience
- At least three years of experience in HVAC system sales, HVAC installation, or be a licensed electrician.
- Two to five years of experience in a sales or sales support role.
- At least three years of experience in managing energy efficiency programs.
- Technical experience in developing and/or reviewing energy savings calculations to determine paybacks and incentive levels for customers.
- Experience in lighting, HVAC, and other technologies installed in commercial and industrial applications.
- Reliable Transportation
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems.
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid driver’s license
Travel Requirements
- Up to 25%, includes occasional overnight travel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Required to sit, stand, walk; talk and hear; and ability to touch and handle tools and/or controls
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Noise Level is typically moderate
- Employee could be exposed to fumes and/or airborne particles and risk of potential shock
