Position Summary

Crystal Dynamics is looking for an Audio Engineer to work directly with our talented audio team. This position involves a close working relationship with audio designers as well as engineers on other cross-disciplinary teams to build audio features used by gameplay and world systems.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Building audio systems used by gameplay and world systems 
  • Design and implement reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code 
  • Iterate on game play functionality to “find the fun” 
  • Build code that is performant for CPU and networking 
  • Collaborate in a rapidly iterative environment 
  • Knowledgeable in how audio ties into the overall game architecture and tools  

Essential Requirements 

  • 3+ years of experience as an Audio Engineer within the gaming industry, including having contributed to a shipped title 
  • Working knowledge of Wwise and ability to implement into game engine 
  • Professional C++ programming experience 
  • Experience working within proprietary and/or commercial game engine, preference to Unreal Engine
  • Solid 3D mathematics skills 

Bonus Skills and Experience 

  • Expert in Unreal Engine
  • FMOD experience 
  • PS4/Xbox One console development experience 
  • Shipped one or more AAA titles using a commercial game engine 
  • Good debugging and optimization skills
