Description

• Fabricates and repairs dental prosthesis such as crown/bridge
• Prepares plaster molds according to the written orders and instructions on the dentists prescription.
  
• Communicates with colleagues and managers in a prompt articulate manner.
•  Uses a variety of plaster materials.
•  Makes models of mouth and teeth from oral impressions taken by dentist.
•  Polishes and finishes appliance to ensure smoothness and fit.
• Utilizes and conserves supplies and equipment by completing plaster casting.
• Uses different hand tools and equipment (electric drills, presses, lathes, high-heat furnaces, sandblasters, paint brushes, carvers, etc).
• Ability to lift less than or equal to 25 pounds.
• Documents actions by completing forms, logs and reports.
• Works closely with quality control specialists and addresses all issues regarding quality standards.
• Recognizes and reports problem cases or cases that need additional prep work.
• Prepares equipment and materials (fills mixing bins, empties equipment receptacles, etc.).

• Designs, fabricates, and repairs dental prosthesis/dental appliances using designated software technology.
• Reads and understands prescription; constructs prostheses by following doctors’ orders and instructions.
• Evaluates and modifies designs to ensure correct crown placement and contact/occlusion parameters are within specification.
• Performs undercut curtain check and removal.
• Performs crown seating simulation and adjusts design as needed.
• Follows quality standard protocols.
• Tests software and hardware; validates or calibrates system or equipment as needed.
• Assists in various tasks relating to the design process.
• Uploads files as required.
