As the QA Technician, you will work within the Quality Assurance department to support product release in Canada and International markets. The QA Technician will complete tasks related to product attribute testing, quality control monitoring, reporting, and ensuring quality of cannabis is within the Peace Naturals Quality Management System (QMS). This position supports quality activities related to incoming materials, equipment calibration and maintenance, in-process controls, batch record review, finished product quality, and customer satisfaction. The QA Technician also assists with maintaining accurate quality records, identifying and communicating quality concerns, and supporting the consistent application of approved procedures, specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.

This position is based out of Stayner, Ontario.

What you’ll be doing:

·         Perform routine quality inspections, product attribute testing, sampling, and monitoring activities in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.

·         Provide day-to-day quality support to Production, Packaging, and Warehouse teams to help ensure activities are completed in compliance with SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.

·         Monitor production and packaging processes, including in-process controls, line clearance, label verification, and finished product checks.

·         Identify, document, and promptly escalate quality concerns, process deviations, and non-conforming materials or products to the QA Supervisor.

·         Inspect and verify incoming cannabis and non-cannabis materials against approved specifications and supporting documentation.

·         Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional quality activities.

·         Completing and preparing appropriate documentation as required i.e. reports, authoring SOPs, Work Instructions, batch records.

Your Environment:

·         100% of the duties and responsibilities in the production rooms.

·         Standing and bending for extended periods of time may be required.

·         Lifting materials/equipment up to 40lbs.

·         Exposure to pollen, allergens, approved pesticides, chemical vapors, odors and dust

·         Overtime as required.

You’ll need to have:

·         Post-Secondary Education in related field preferred

·         Computer literacy to include knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Excel, Teams and other applications.

·         Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, laboratory, manufacturing, or another regulated environment is considered an asset but is not required.

·         Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

·         The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
