Reporting to the Director, Procurement, the Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Procurement organization by conducting spend analytics, vendor due diligence and providing decision support for category strategies (RFXs, bid analysis) and vendor negotiations (cost modeling, benchmarking). Responsible for SAP transactional tasks such as item and vendor master data enrichment, PO issuance, and resolving A/P issues to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments.  

This position is remote, Canada or US based.  

What you'll be doing:  

  • Responsible for analysis of key procurement data and providing decision support for category strategies, sourcing events, and cost reduction projects.
  • Examples of analytical support include: Market and industry analysis, Spend analysis, Benchmarking and Cost modeling.
  • Support category leads in RFXs and vendor negotiations
  • Support vendor due diligence process to ensure suppliers are qualified to enter into commercial agreements with the company
  • Owns SAP transactional tasks such as item and vendor master data enrichment, PO issuance, and resolving A/P issues to ensure timely and accurate vendor payment
  • Builds strong stakeholder relationships to ensure implementation of key projects and initiatives 

You'll need to have:  

  • University or College degree Data analytics or Supply Chain Management Program (SCMP) certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Highly skilled in Excel and other analytics-based software
  • Experience in SAP / ERP systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple workstreams
  • High energy, strong ability to learn, and able to flex based on business priorities. Excellent time-management, organization and attention to detail
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and facilitation skills
