The Director, Human Resources at Cronos Israel is a dedicated strategic advisor to our most senior leaders.  The Director, Human Resources plays a key role in fostering a one company, global mindset, facilitating the connection of Cronos Israel with the rest of the organization, and supporting Cronos's values and behaviors. The Director, Human Resources is a data driven problem solver, influential teacher, and trusted coach to the leaders they support. The Director, Human Resources maintains an independent voice and uses their unique position in the organization to proactively support key initiatives.
 
Summary of Role: 
The Director, Human Resources provides senior level, strategic HR guidance to leaders and is responsible for the formulation of the talent strategy aligned to the business and overall HR strategy for the group. The Director, Human Resources partners with internal HR team members, dedicated COEs, and other functions to ensure best in class talent strategy, talent acquisition and talent deployment.
 
This position is on-site in Gan Shmuel (One-day remote). 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  •  Partner with the SVP, Head of Cronos in building the leadership team as a successful and cohesive unit. 
  •  Work with all levels of employees and their leaders to ensure they have the tools to maximize their performance and opportunities for professional development.
  •  Drive the strategy and delivery of organization effectiveness (planning, development, and design), change management (actively communicating), and talent programs.   
  •  Ensure consistent and on-time employee data integrity through support of Workday HRIS as the one true source of employee data. 
  •  Advise senior team on the design and implementation of organizational solutions against priority needs, and coach and counsel business unit executives on issues pertinent to leadership, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
  •  Support the business in making strategic and operational decisions, reflecting an understanding of broader cross functional implications and the imperative for sustained, profitable growth
  •  Serves as the domain expert for organization and talent; provides subject matter expert recommendations and solutions to improve productivity, retention and attraction of employees based on external and internal factors, best practices, and innovative solutions.
  •  Provide strategic HR insight into business unit realignments, workforce planning, succession planning, talent assessment, talent development, and leadership pipelines. 
  •  Work in partnership with the Compensation/Benefits and Finance teams to facilitate compensation and benefits programs as well as support payroll related reviews. 
Talent Management Strategy 
  •  Focus on developing innovative talent strategies, in partnership with the COE’s, that address the diverse needs of our business and our people. 
  •  Monitor overall effectiveness of HR programs and services by monitoring key talent metrics to identify and analyze people related issues, root causes, and possible levers for solutions. 
  •  Ensure consistent application of programs across the various business units and promote standardization by creating practical and effective programs in partnership with other HR teams. 
Talent Planning 
  •  Overall responsibility for the Talent Planning process execution 
  •  Conduct/support talent planning discussions and provide perspective on future key talent needs. 
  •  Work in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team to identify, recruit, and onboard all non-Manufacturing roles.  
  •  Directly facilitate and manage the hiring of manufacturing roles. 
  •  Summarize overall talent needs and action plans. 
  •  Monitor progress against action plans and provide updates to HR/business leadership as appropriate, flagging risks, issues etc. 
Key Experience & Qualifications 
  •  An HR professional with a proven record of developing collaborative partnerships with leaders
  •  Creative thinker and idea generator.
  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills both English and Hebrew.
  •  10+ years of HR experience.
  •  Experience working within a global HR team structure is required. Experience working in a global matrixed environment.
  •  Broad exposure to all HR functions including organizational development, change management, recruiting, workforce planning, compensation benefits and HR administration.
  •  Proved aptitude to work within a HRIS. Workday knowledge is preferred, but not required.
  •  Strong ability to form relationships and influence.
  •  Demonstrated ability to thrive in a rapidly growing, fast-changing, highly collaborative environment.
  •  Proven experience working at a strategic level.
  •  Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in controversial and/or confrontational situations, as well as handle multiple competing priorities.
  •  Able to exercise sound judgement and discretion in matters of significance to the organization.
