The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating and maintaining the production schedule and ensuring accuracy of live assets throughout the production facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, the focus is on taking purchase order information from Supply Chain and planning a daily/weekly packaging schedule keeping mindful of capacity. The Production Scheduler ensures that the orders are closed in SAP to ensure month end accuracy.

This Position is based out of Stayner, ON  

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain compliance with the laws and regulations related to the Cannabis Act 
  • Detailed production scheduling of all production areas, Finishing and Packaging and Labeling.
  • Create long term production and capacity forecasts considering available capacity, production, rework planning.
  • Ensure that ALL completed work orders are closed in SAP.
  • Create and report daily, weekly and monthly production results as well as efficiency. 
  • Negotiate with production areas for schedule tasks and overtime requirement 
  • Support systems advancement and projects 
  • Perform other job duties as assigned  
  • Attending and conducting presentations 

Your Environment:

  • Overtime may be required

You’ll need to have:

  • Post-Secondary education in relevant field 
  • Advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Production Control/Manufacturing experience 
  • CPIM, PMAC/CPP type designation preferred 
  • Background in developing and managing KPI (Key Performance Indicators) 
  • Experience using ERP/MRP software, SAP, Kanban/pull systems 
  • Project planning skills
