Compensation: 
$82,000 - $86,000 annual salary, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager will develop and execute marketing strategies and objectives that align with CRISTA’s mission of serving Christ and advancing the Kingdom through outreach efforts. Oversee all aspects of marketing, including market research, campaign management, communication, team leadership, and event support. Manage a team of junior marketing professionals by training and coaching them and helping them meet organizational goals. Incorporate a marketing vision that reflect Christian values, attracting donors, leads and customers to CRISTA’s community. Collaborate with various teams to create impactful messaging.  Assist with event marketing to ensure successful promotion and engagement for fundraising events.

DUTIES
People Management and Communication: 
  • Instill a leadership culture of Transformative Performance Management for all staff.   
  • Manage and lead a team of junior marketing professionals, assigning duties, setting clear performance targets, and conducting evaluations.
  • Coach, mentor and train junior staff to ensure the marketing team operates effectively and efficiently.
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to help employees navigate their paths and develop their skills.
  • Take time to build personal connections with staff by supporting their interests and understanding their motivations, strengths and goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (communications, fundraising, and program staff) to create, edit, and optimize messaging for digital and print channels.
  • Ensure that all marketing materials reflect the mission and values of the organization and resonate with the target audience.
  • Oversee content creation, ensuring that all messaging aligns with CRISTA’s brand, voice, and strategic goals while fostering a cohesive and impactful communication strategy.
Market Research: 
  • Conduct market research to understand donor and customer needs, preferences, and trends within the Christian community and broader target audience.
  • Analyze and interpret data to inform marketing strategies and improve campaign performance.
  • Leverage insights to identify growth opportunities and develop targeted messaging that enhances fundraising and outreach initiatives, driving engagement and support for CRISTA’s mission.
Campaign Management: 
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing campaigns to attract new donors, leads, and customers.
  • Coordinate cross-channel campaigns, including email marketing, social media, print materials, and event marketing, to enhance engagement and conversion.
  • Track and evaluate campaign performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize results.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven work environment that encourages creativity and growth.
Event Support: 
  • Collaborate with the events team to plan, promote, and execute fundraising events, conferences, and outreach initiatives.
  • Design and execute comprehensive event marketing strategies to enhance attendance and engagement, utilizing a mix of digital and print channels to effectively promote initiatives and foster community involvement.
  • Assist in creating event materials such as brochures, signage, and digital promotions that align with the organization's mission and branding.
  • Manage post-event follow-up campaigns.
Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC). 
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for leading CRISTA’s Junior Marketing Team consisting of a Marketing Coordinator II and the Marketing and Events Coordinator.

  • Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
  • Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
  • Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC). 
  • Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of marketing experience, ideally within a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
  • Proven experience in market research, campaign management, event support, and team leadership. 
  • Strong understanding of Christian principles and ability to integrate them into marketing efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and mission-aligned content.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and content management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
