Compensation: $78,000 - $80,000 annual salary, depending on experience

- Treasury Accounting: Assist in providing support for accounting related needs including, but not limited to:
- Prepare necessary journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations as assigned.
- Review assigned sections of the monthly financial statements for accuracy, clarity and trends. Communicate findings as appropriate and provide input to management.
- Provide financial research and analysis as needed.
- Utilize Business World On! accounting software to generate and modify reports. Use ministry software as needed to prepare journal entries or reconcile accounts.
- Accounting Department Support:
- Assist with completion of the annual audit and preparation of tax returns as assigned.
- Provide support for other Accounting personnel as needed.
- Assist with process improvement, lean process or software upgrade/software implementation projects.
- Provide analysis and reporting of financial and non-financial data, and research.
- Look for ways to continually improve CRISTA’s financial systems and processes and make suggestions for improvement to the Accounting Manager and VP/Controller.
- Encourage cooperation and mutually beneficial relationships between the Accounting department and CRISTA employees.
- Provide support on accounting and finance issues.
- Cash Flow Management:
- Track and reconcile daily cash receipts, wire transfers and bank/credit card fees.
- Process all ministry deposits.
- Manage cash flow daily, making bank transfers as needed to maintain appropriate level of funds.
- Respond to internal customer’s questions regarding corporate deposits, wire transfers and bank/credit card fees.
- Contributions Support (as needed):
- Provide back-up duties for daily accounting functions of the donation system.
- Process contributions.
- Maintain donor records.
- Interface with the Fundraising department on appeals and coding requirements.
- Prepare and process credit card and EFT transactions.
- Provide contribution and pledge reporting.
- Edit and adjust gifts as needed or directed.
- Work collaboratively with management, co-workers and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
- Two years of Accounting/Finance
- One year of customer service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in using automated accounting and/or ERP software systems.
- Work independently, efficiently and professionally with a wide variety of personality types.
- Great problem solving and analytical skill to analyze information
- Able to provide suggestions for process improvements.
- Able to work collaboratively with coworkers, staff and customers.
- Able to provide excellent customer service.
- Two years of Accounting experience with Not-For-Profit organizations
- Two years of experience in public accounting with mid-size or national firm.
- Working in a multicultural environment
- Two years of experience with banking
- Two years of experience with accounting for donations
- Working knowledge of Unit 4 Business World On and Salesforce software systems.
