Responsibilities:

  • Support and participate in service desk everyday tasks relating to business functions.
  • Ensure the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, virtualized systems, and network equipment.
  • Install and upgrade computer and network components and software; manage virtual servers and integrate automation processes.
  • Handle user onboarding and offboarding.
  • Administer Azure and AWS.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, prioritize problems, and assess impact.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to plan and implement new infrastructure or upgrades.
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Work with third-party vendors on Cyber Security projects, including penetration tests, server patches, desktop/laptop patches, and network configuration.
  • Responsible for capacity storage planning and network performance.
  • Perform periodic bandwidth testing and optimize network connectivity.

 

Requirements:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of US helpdesk support, network administration, and/or system administration experience.
  • Experience with firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, remote management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Penetration testing experience is a plus.
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, Cisco, or other network-related fields are a plus.
  • Knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, and cloud hosting.
  • AWS/Azure System Admin Certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
  • Knowledge of helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
