Summary of the Sr. Supervisor, Billing & Revenue
The Supervisor will support all aspects of the revenue cycle within the organization. This position has specific responsibility in reviewing revenue related processes within the organization, including day to day invoicing, revenue recognition and accounting functions, review the preparation of customer invoices, and review monthly close processes, fulfilling interdepartmental reporting requests, and maintaining an effective control environment.
 
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in technical and operational accounting, the ability to work with and analyze large volumes of data, as they will be responsible for customer invoicing. The role will participate in month end close and reporting. The ideal candidate works well through ambiguity, thrives in a fast-paced and changing environment, and possesses excellent leadership and communication skills.  
 
Responsibilities for the Sr. Supervisor, Billing & Revenue
  • Review weekly invoice uploads and ensure reconciliations are completed timely and accurately
  • Manage the data inputs in Salesforce that allow for streamless billing
  • Review invoice usage reconciliations before sending them to the senior revenue accounting team
  • Help guide and train the team on using analytical skills to help identify root causes of variances
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are documented or updated as necessary
  • Assist in month end accounting close activities, including reconciliation of revenue accounts and balance sheet reconciliations to the general ledger
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with team members and across departments
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned
  • Responsible for managing 3-5 team members
 
Qualifications  of the Sr. Supervisor, Billing & Revenue
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 4 years' work in invoicing and revenue accounting with a minimum of 1-2 years of management/supervisory experience in a multinational organization
  • Demonstrated progressive career which included the supervision, development and mentoring of individuals and multiple team members
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Sr. Supervisor, Billing & Revenue
  • Exceptionally strong mastery of US English both written and verbal
  • Excellent accounting and analytical skills, including familiarity with Sage/Intacct accounting systems is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail; completes work timely and accurately
  • Polished communication and interpersonal skills; role requires collaborating with multiple stakeholders and maintaining solid relationships
  • Ability to lead a team to achieve goals and complete tasks as a self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision
  • Ability to embrace change and demonstrate agility in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse cross section of individuals
  • Must be able to have difficult conversations and provide conflict resolution as needed
  • Must be outgoing and able to work with diverse backgrounds
  • Must have strong computer skills including a general ledger/invoicing system and must have exceptional Microsoft Office 365 suite
