We follow a hybrid model, so employees are expected to be in the office 2 days per week.   

The    Opportunity:
You will lead and mentor several of Qualifacts software development teams. You will lead teams in promoting our Agile/Scrum process, proactively improving application performance and reliability, improving process efficiency, and ensuring compliance to internal design, coding, and documentation standards.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oversee multiple development teams; this includes providing day-to-day supervision, mentorship, sprint and release milestone planning and performance management to engineering team members and team leads.
  • Works alongside peer leaders (Architecture, QA, Product Owners, DevOps, and Infrastructure) to manage and motivate multiple cross-functional software development teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Develop a high bar for software quality by establishing and ensuring implementation of best practices.
  • Consistently deliver on commitments with continuous quality and efficiency improvements.
  • Grow the software development team by hiring quality software engineers that embrace Qualifacts core values and culture and can quickly contribute to corporate goals.
  • Ensure clear and objective communication of expectations, goals, and responsibilities.
  • Formulate and measure long-term objectives and standards of performance for the department and individual engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal design, coding, and documentation standards.
  • Keep abreast of new technology patterns and trends in both On-prem and Cloud native environments.
  • Use Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to ensure and maintain high team performance.
Qualifications:
  • Technical/bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related careers.
  • Advanced English level.
  • 5+ years of management/leadership experience of leading large-scale software development projects.
  • 10+ years’ experience building consumer-facing web and mobile software solutions at scale with hands-on professional coding experience.
  • Experience leading and promoting the Scrum methodology.
  • Experience with Software as a Service preferred.
  • Languages: Java, JavaScript, SQL (Oracle preferred). PL/SQL desirable.
  • Frameworks: Spring Boot, React.js (or equivalent).
  • Databases: Extensive experience working with Relational and NoSQL Databases like: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of REST API design and Service Oriented Architecture implementations.
  • Experience with building container-based services in Java or equivalent.
  • Experience hosting applications in AWS including container and serverless deployment models.
  • Experience with modern DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI etc.
  • Experience with APM and infrastructure monitoring tools such as NewRelic, DataDog, etc.
  • Experience with test-driven development.
