What You Will Be Doing:

We are recruiting for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you play a pivotal role in the sales process by helping prospects realize the value and fit of the CrashPlan platform in solving their business pain. You will be partnering closely with Account Executives in our Sales team to get the “technical win” from customers as well as assisting our partners in closing their customers. Additionally, you will help qualify and close opportunities by providing technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting Proof-of-Value (POV) of the CrashPlan solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the sales team to introduce CrashPlan to our potential customers.

  • Lead product and solution briefings, run live product demos, build POVs.

  • Partner with CrashPlan product management, engineering and support teams to solve customer challenges and improve customer experience.

  • Identify and address customer’s key technical objections and develop the strategies to address those blockers to allow the adoption of CrashPlan.

  • Working with Partner managers to accelerate sales through the channel.

  • Working with Managed Solutions Providers (MSPs) to integrate CrashPlan solutions as part of a suite

  • Managing and Updating the Partner portal with pertinent content.

  • Attending and presenting at marketing events/trade shows.

  • Developing and maintaining a demonstration environment.

What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Technical Account Manager or similar role, including leading presentations, collecting requirements, developing solution architectures, and teaching prospective users with other SaaS products like CrashPlan

  • Experience in supporting multiple Sales Reps 

  • Demonstrated experience working on complex technical problems and have a strong understanding of modern infrastructure and SaaS products

  • Ability to differentiate competitive feature/function/benefits in the data protection market

  • Strong ability to build relationships with partners, through initial contact, onboarding/certification, continued education, and sales campaigns.

  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of time, including international travel 

  • building relationships with customers, during the sales process, and as part of the ongoing account management.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Azure marketplace and managing Entra IDExperience integrating with Identify and Access Management providers. SSO; SAML; SCIM; MFA.
  • Experience selling/supporting Microsoft M365 solutions 
  • Scripting experience with Javascript and Python



 

The On-Target Earnings range (base salary + variable)  for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. This position is eligible for a full range of benefits. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and the candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
