- Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration.
- Leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close for affiliate entities through your experiences by:
- Preparing financial statements for external reporting and managing balance sheets
- Ensuring compliance with and preparation of reports in accordance with applicable government regulations
- Delegating accounting tasks to junior staff
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Partnering with business stakeholders and team members through your influencing and critical thinking skills
- To assist with management of accounting and auditing and within the organization
- To ensure that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization.
- To ensure accounting inaccuracies and imbalances are reconciled timely.
- To collaborate with Director of Accounting Policy & External Reporting and business with implementation of new accounting standards and address identified financial control gaps.
- Spearheading digital technology implementation through your experiences by:
- Participating in developing and implementing new accounting systems and processes
- Providing recommendations for process improvements based on your analytical skills.
- Intermediate computer skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Advanced knowledge of General Ledger applications
- A solid understanding of finance and accounting principles
- Strong knowledge of financial controls
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly skilled in math, accounting, and financial processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Skilled in time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
- B.S. or B.A. required in finance or accounting. MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of financial services experience preferred.
- CPA required
