Administrative Programs Coordinator - Bilingual Spanish

The Bilingual Spanish Administrative Programs Coordinator is responsible for the general administrative support for three Covia Connection Programs:  Well Connected, Well Connected Español, and Social Call – all virtual programs that socially engage older adults living throughout the United States with creative participation and volunteer opportunities.  This position is based in our San Francisco office (Hayes Valley / Civic Center).  Must be fluent bilingual Spanish.


  • Customer service: answer phones, respond to emails, conduct satisfaction surveys and check-in calls, send regular email reminders, provide program outreach information
  • Administrative support: manage frequent mailings, schedule conference calls, maintain program information in nation-wide resource databases, coordinate accessibility accommodations, run reports and utilize program database/work management tools
  • Program support: train presenters/facilitators about handouts and conferencing platforms, facilitate and moderate program activities on Well connected and Well Connected Español, recruit and provide limited supervision to other volunteers
  • Office duties: maintain an organized office environment, handle incoming and outgoing mail, monitor supplies
  • Provide general support for Well Connected, Well Connected Español, and Social Call
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings
  • Other functions as assigned (which may include other Covia Community Services)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Fluency (verbal and written) in English and Spanish
  • Experience in an administrative support position
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn web-based software
  • Must have a strong desire to work with a diverse population of older adults
  • Experience and comfort working independently day-to-day, within a highly collaborative, virtual team setting
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity

Education and Qualifications

  • Minimum two-years professional experience
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings
