Senior Consultant

Senior Consultants are responsible for helping to manage multiple client engagements as well as providing support across all service lines for TMG Partners. As a Sr. Consultant, you will develop our clients’ executive-level talent to help them reach their full potential, thereby driving high performance for their businesses. This is a hybrid position based out of our New York City Headquarters.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in C-level client facing activities and prepare supporting written reports, client presentations, and business development materials
  • Provide project management oversight and direction across a number of clients
  • Engage in the pursuit of upsell at existing clients and participate in the pursuit of new business
  • Provide support for the development of intellectual capital during or following project assignments
  • Conduct required research, market analysis, and some data gathering in support of client engagements
  • Analyze and compile reports in support of executive development and coaching engagements

 

Required Skills

  • Writing skills: an excellent writer with the ability to craft clear, concise, and impactful narratives
  • Communication skills: can effectively communicate with colleagues (and eventually clients) across a variety of methods (in person, on the phone, over email, etc.); thoughtful around updating colleagues on the status of projects and work
  • Business acumen: well-honed analytical skills coupled with business acumen to draw insights and identify tailored solutions for our clients and their unique organizational contexts and needs
  • Issue spotting: the ability to identify, discern, and categorize multiple cogent themes from a variety of inputs
  • Research skills: capable of conducting ad hoc research for clients and quickly crafting high quality client deliverables based on findings
  • Editing skills: strong attention to detail; takes a meticulous and painstaking approach to work products; dedicated to delivering high quality, highly professional work to clients
  • PowerPoint skills: strong familiarity with formatting PowerPoint slides; can create interesting / dynamic visuals and knows which tools to use to fix formatting issues that arise

Work Experience and Educational Qualifications:
We hire great people, regardless of any one specific qualification. However, ideal qualifications include:

  • 7+ years of experience in: leadership consulting, management consulting (ideally in strategy with a specific interest in Human Capital), executive search, talent management/development, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree is a plus

TMG provides a competitive base salary, benefits and bonus package for our employees and new joiners. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for new joiners for this role is $150,000 - $230,000. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's experience and expertise.
