Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Commercial FP&A will serve as the primary financial business partner to Cosette Pharmaceuticals' Commercial organization, supporting both the Branded and Generic businesses. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role provides financial leadership across revenue forecasting, gross-to-net (GTN), gross margin, commercial investments, product profitability, sales and marketing expenses, performance analytics and strategic decision support.

The role works closely with Commercial leadership, Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Trade, Pricing, Supply Chain, Accounting and Business Development to translate commercial activity into actionable financial insights and to ensure financial considerations are embedded in key business decisions. As the day-to-day tactical financial partner to Commercial, the Senior Manager will monitor sales forecasts versus budget, support Marketing with sales projections, identify risks and opportunities, and perform investment ROI analysis.

The successful candidate will continuously improve forecast accuracy, including product-level accuracy and GTN assumptions, and will identify variances versus budget, latest estimate and forecast in a timely manner, with clear explanations of key drivers and corrective actions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Commercial Financial Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary FP&A business partner to Commercial leadership across Branded and Generic products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of brand strategies, customer/channel dynamics, pricing, market access, competitive activity and product lifecycle considerations.
  • Translate commercial initiatives into revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and ROI implications.
  • Provide objective financial challenge to commercial assumptions and investment proposals.
  • Partner proactively with Commercial teams to identify risks, opportunities and corrective actions rather than simply reporting historical performance.

2. Revenue Forecasting & Performance

  • Lead the financial component of product-level revenue forecasting across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Trade, Market Access and Supply Chain to develop volume, price and revenue assumptions.
  • Analyze actual results versus Budget, Latest Estimate, Prior Year and forecast.
  • Perform price / volume / mix analysis and distinguish underlying demand from timing, inventory and customer purchasing activity.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Analytics to develop product-level forecasts incorporating market trends, pricing actions, competitive events, new launches and lifecycle changes.
  • Maintain a clear view of monthly and quarterly risks and opportunities by product.

3. Gross-to-Net & Net Revenue Analytics

  • Partner with Accounting, Market Access, Trade and Commercial Operations to understand and forecast gross-to-net deductions.
  • Analyze trends in rebates, chargebacks, discounts, returns, administrative fees and other customer/channel deductions.
  • Assess actual GTN performance relative to forecast assumptions and identify emerging trends.
  • Support development of product and customer-level net price and net revenue analytics.
  • Help Commercial leadership understand the financial impact of contracting and pricing decisions.

4. Gross Margin & Product Profitability

  • Develop and maintain product-level P&Ls and profitability analytics.
  • Analyze revenue, GTN, COGS, gross margin and contribution margin by product/customer where appropriate.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Finance to understand cost changes, purchase price variances, inventory implications and manufacturing economics.
  • Identify margin improvement opportunities through pricing, mix, sourcing, commercial terms and portfolio optimization.
  • Provide financial analysis supporting SKU/product rationalization decisions.

5. Commercial Investment & ROI

  • Establish disciplined financial evaluation of commercial investments, including:
    • Sales force investments
    • Marketing campaigns
    • Patient programs
    • Market access initiatives
    • Promotional programs
    • Product launches
    • Incremental headcount
  • Develop business cases with clearly defined incremental revenue, gross profit, EBITDA, cash flow, ROI and payback periods.
  • Conduct post-investment analysis comparing actual performance to the original business case.
  • Challenge whether incremental revenue represents true growth versus revenue that would likely have occurred without the investment.

6. Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

  • Lead the Commercial organization's components of the Annual Budget, Latest Estimate and Long-Range/Strategic Plan.
  • Coordinate assumptions across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain and other functions.
  • Develop product-level revenue, gross margin, operating expense and EBITDA forecasts.
  • Ensure forecast assumptions are transparent, documented and supported by operational drivers.
  • Continuously improve forecast accuracy and explain key deviations.

7. Commercial Expense Management

  • Partner with Commercial leaders to develop and manage Sales & Marketing budgets.
  • Provide monthly spend reporting and forecasts by department, initiative and product.
  • Identify spending risks, savings opportunities and potential reallocations.

  • Support FP&A and Business Development in evaluating product acquisitions, licensing opportunities and new product launches.
  • Assess commercial forecasts and key assumptions including market size, price, volume, GTN, COGS, gross margin and required commercial investment.
  • Participate in commercial and financial due diligence as appropriate.
  • Track acquired-product performance relative to the original investment case following close/launch.
