Position Summary 
The Senior Manager, IT Enterprise Applications role will plan, coordinate, direct, and design all Enterprise Application activities of the IT department, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. This individual will collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. This is a hands-on role that will manage internal and external resources to deliver: 
 
  • Projects on time and within budget
  • Quality deliverables that fully meet desired business objectives while maximizing business value
  • Expected services in-line with service level agreements and business/user expectations
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Work with VP of IT on short- and longer-term ERP strategy and implement tactical and strategic solutions. 
  • Overall development responsibilities include the following: analysis of requests, creation of functional specifications and technical designs, development of level of effort estimates and project plans, prioritization, and coordination of scheduling work with users.
  • Develop and execute test plans, validate the test results, and manage user acceptance testing for the successful implementation of enhancements.
  • Direct the delivery of projects through active sponsorship, leadership, and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements.
  • Responsible for project timelines, resource and capacity plans, and liaise with the AMS Lead
  • Responsible for continuous improvement processes and working closely with Offshore AMS counterparts.
  • Estimating: Revalidate the estimates at key transition points in the development lifecycle
  • Standardization: ensure work is performed in accordance with delivery methodology, policies and standards
  • Metrics: Calculate (based on the baseline plan and estimates), report and act upon standard enterprise metrics
  • Status Reporting: Provide standardized status reports every period, managing risks and issues.
  • Financial Ownership: manage expenses under her/his responsibility; ensure correct and effective Budget management (utilization, forecasting, etc.)
  • Manage external vendors to ensure the delivery of services in accordance with expected and agreed upon service levels and costs.
 
Position Requirements 
 
 
Education Required: 
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent work experience. 
Experience Required: 
IT leader with 7 plus years of experience working in a health care environment.  
5 - 7 years project management experience managing large projects (both implementation and services).  
Skills and Abilities:  
  • Deep knowledge SAP Core Modules and Process Flows
  • Proven experience in facilitating the definition of business requirements and designing and implementing solutions, including processes and managing change.
  • Experience working with many and varied third party vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems.
  • A track record of success in managing IT operating and capital budgets.
  • In-depth knowledge of structured systems development methodologies, information technology and the management of day-to-day operations.
  • Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Functional Knowledge of Procure to Pay, Order to Cash and Record to Report
Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed: 
PMP Certification preferred
