Position Summary
The Director, Contract Strategy & Offer Development is responsible for designing, evaluating, and optimizing pharmaceutical contracting strategies and customer-specific offers that support Cosette market access objectives, customer growth, and long-term profitability.
This role serves as the organization's subject matter expert for contract strategy, financial modeling, pricing evaluation, and offer development across commercial, government, institutional, specialty, and distribution channels. The position partners closely with National Accounts, Market Access, Finance, Trade, Pricing, Legal, and Commercial Leadership to develop contract solutions that balance customer needs, competitive positioning, patient access, and financial performance.
The Director provides analytical leadership and strategic recommendations that support customer negotiations while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Strategy & Offer Development
• Develop customer-specific contracting strategies across commercial, government, institutional, specialty pharmacy, specialty distribution, and healthcare system channels.
• Design contract offers, rebate structures, administrative fee arrangements, and performance-based agreements.
• Evaluate current and future contract alternatives and recommend optimal business solutions.
• Support contract negotiations by providing strategic recommendations and financial analyses.
Financial Analysis & Business Case Development
• Build and maintain financial models assessing:
• Gross-to-Net impact
• Revenue implications
• Customer profitability
• ROI
• Market share opportunities
• Access investments
• Evaluate competitive contracting strategies and market dynamics.
• Present recommendations to senior leadership and approval committees.
Contract Governance & Performance
• Maintain contract governance processes and approval workflows.
• Monitor contract performance against expected financial and access outcomes.
• Develop dashboards and reporting tools measuring contract effectiveness.
• Identify risks, compliance concerns, and optimization opportunities.
Market Access & Launch Support
• Partner with Market Access, Finance, Legal, and National Accounts teams to support access strategies.
• Develop contracting approaches supporting product launches and lifecycle management.
• Support specialty distribution, specialty pharmacy, and institutional access initiatives.
• Evaluate reimbursement and market access implications of new opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with National Accounts leadership to support customer negotiations and account strategies.
• Collaborate with Finance on Gross-to-Net forecasting and contract valuation.
• Work with Trade Relations to align channel contracting strategies.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to ensure contract adherence.
• Support Pricing and Commercial Leadership with strategic analyses and recommendations.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required.
• MBA, PharmD, MPH, MS Finance, Economics, or related advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Contracting, Finance, Trade Relations, Strategic Accounts, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement, market access, Gross-to-Net, and contract strategy.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.

Salary Range
The expected annual base salary for this NJ based position is $175,000 - $230,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee on the payment date.

Physical Requirements
This role will follow a hybrid work schedule, requiring three (3) onsite days per week at our Bridgewater, NJ office.
