Position Summary
We are looking for a strategic communications leader with a passion for shaping the future of communication in the pharmaceutical industry, to lead our dynamic and impactful communication efforts. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with our senior leadership team, partner with our CEO, and take the lead in crafting our company's communication strategy. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
● Shape Communication Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and refine the company's overarching communication strategy, ensuring it aligns with our corporate objectives and vision.
● Elevate CEO and Company Profile: Partner closely with our CEO to increase visibility and reputation across various media platforms and channels, enhancing both the company and CEO's image.
● Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that seamlessly align with our corporate goals, supporting key initiatives, product launches, and regulatory milestones.
● Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of these connections in our business ecosystem.
● Advocacy Engagement: Lead efforts to engage with patient advocacy groups and industry associations, championing our corporate and social responsibility initiatives within these influential circles.
● Media Oversight: Take charge of media relations activities, including crafting impactful press releases, media kits, and handling crisis communications effectively to maintain a positive brand image.
● Content Creation: Ensure the creation of top-quality, regulatory-compliant content, including written materials, videos, and digital assets, to drive successful communication initiatives.
● Event Coordination: Collaborate with HR to organize internal corporate events, ensuring they not only serve their intended purpose but also reflect our corporate theme and priorities.
● Industry Event Cohesion: Partner with our Commercial teams to ensure industry events, such as trade shows, have a cohesive theme that aligns with our overall brand and messaging.
● Branding and Storytelling: Provide input and manage corporate decks, ensuring they align seamlessly with our corporate branding and storytelling.
● Creative Touch: Add a creative edge to our corporate identity by designing and executing company swag when required.
● Agency Collaboration: Oversee communications strategic planning and manage the budget of external agency resources.
Position Requirements
Education Required:
BA/BS degree in Communications, Business, Public Relations, or similar field
Experience Required:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in house or with a communications agency
Skills and Abilities:
● Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Strong attention to detail and a self-starter
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
● Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with communications technologies
● Familiarity with social media platforms and social media marketing
● Copywriting and copy-editing abilities
Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications needed:
● Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro)
● Working knowledge of content management systems, HTML coding, and digital graphics production preferred
● Experience with search engine marketing, Google Analytics, and Google AdWords
Company/Industry Related Knowledge:
Pharmaceutical industry knowledge is strongly preferred
