Basic Purpose: Own and execute the Master Production Schedule to satisfy company goals and objectives.
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 
  • Analyze sales forecast information and integrate it with the make-to-stock and make-to-order strategy to generate a Master Production schedule which balances production capacity with customer demand.  Develop the above schedule in accordance with stated company objectives relative to customer service, backorder and inventory investment goals.
  • Act as both master scheduler and shop floor planner. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and adjusting both short-term and long-term planning. This role will collaborate with various departments including supply chain, incoming sampling/inspection, manufacturing, and packaging to create operating plan to meet both internal and external customer demand.
  • Develop an annual production budget that meets the requirements of the forward-looking sales forecast.  Analyze capacity vs production requirements.
  • Primary stakeholder in on time order fulfillment. Individual will be responsible for collaborating with multiple departments to track and prioritize upcoming Finished Good releases.
  • Identify the gaps between customer demand and the associated production schedule and the Lincolnton plant finite production capacity. Identify and communicate key production bottlenecks that hinder the satisfaction of customer demand and recommend appropriate contingency plans.
  • Operate as the key liaison to Marketing related to projected availability and the introduction of new customer SKUs. Identify and communicate potential stock outs in terms of quantity, timing and dollar exposure.

Education/Training/Work Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.  A minimum of five years Materials Management experience which should include at least 2 years of Master Scheduling responsibilities.
  • APICS certification and/or previous pharmaceutical experience are considered a plus.
  • Position requires strong mathematical and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Previous experience with Oracle/SAP or similar automated business planning systems preferred.
 
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Interpersonal skills for intradepartmental communication and task management
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate the results effectively
  • Ability to define “what-if” scenarios

Work Environment and Physical Demands (List required PPE’s):
