Position Summary:
Perform preventive maintenance, changeovers /set ups / troubleshooting in both manufacturing and packaging, use of power and/or handheld tools, benchwork, basic electrical troubleshooting, perform systems access such as Trackwise and EAM for work orders but not limited to, and proficient in at least one other specialized skill (as indicated below).
 
Work Hours:  Monday through Friday,  2:10pm - 10:10pm
 
Travel Requirements:  There may be opportunities to visit with other Cosette plant sites within the network or at other companies for the purpose of learning how to perform work efficiently and benchmarking best practices.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Must read, write, and speak English. 
  • Basic math skills required.    
  • GMP knowledge and attention to details required. 
  • Must be able to have the demonstrated capabilities to perform preventive maintenance, use tools but not limited to hand held jacks, walkies, power and hand held tools, etc., clean packaging equipment/areas, changeovers, benchmark, basic electrical troubleshooting, perform systems access such as TrackWise and EAM for work orders,  and proficient in at least one other specialized skills such as but not limited to machine shop and welding, certified for plumbing and pipe fitting, and certified for instrumentation or electrical.  Additionally, must be able to perform equipment and product changeovers.  
  • Must be able to bend repeatedly and lift up at least 60lbs.   
  • Must be able to follow and document written directions as outlined in batch records, forms, and protocols.       
  • Follow directions from other Colleagues including Operators, Supervisors, Managers, etc.   
  • Check product to ensure adherence to Cosette Quality Standards and practices.        
  • Bench work includes but not limited to filing, deburring, scraping, and chipping, lapping, tapping, threading, inspecting, and assembling of parts/assemblies, and lubrication.
  • Clean equipment, parts, and packaging areas for changeovers, etc.
  • Perform Oracle Transactions.
  • Initiation, resolution, and closure of maintenance work orders relating to Manufacturing and Packaging.
  • Work with Supervisors and Manager to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities in Manufacturing and Packaging.
  •  Engage and maintain in a safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), housekeeping and safety audits (ie. 6S program), and standard operating procedures. 
  •  Engage and be involved in Operational Excellence (OE) and process improvement activities in efforts to make packaging processes more efficient and simplify practices.
 
Qualifications:
Education Required:
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Education Preferred:
Mechanical Trade or Engineering
Experience Required:          
3+years of demonstrated experience.
Experience Preferred:
5+ years
Functional Knowledge:       
Basic cGMP knowledge and math skills
