Job Overview

The Financial Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing Coretelligent's financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. We are looking for a go-getter willing to take on any challenge as Financial Accounting Manager who also wants to help drive our continued success as an accounting organization as we grow organically and through acquisitions. You will take your expertise in the accounting field and use it to drive continued process improvement and acceleration across all areas of the accounting function. The Financial Accounting Manager holds primary responsibility for the day-to-day execution of a wide range of assigned accounting practices, which include financial accounting and reporting, accounting systems administration, audit management, internal controls management and enforcement, and implementation and execution of accounting policy in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support business objectives.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, leveraging technology to automate and streamline operations.
  • Assure proper oversight for administration of the accounting system, including configuration and maintenance of the general ledger chart of accounts, currency exchange rates, and period close status.
  • Oversee the compilation and evaluation of various accruals and reserves to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee the program of regular account reviews and the overall monthly trial balance review, ensuring accuracy.
  • Support compliance with local statutory and tax reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring the timely and accurate provision of financial information.
  • Oversee tax preparation activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions while abiding by policies, procedures, and remaining compliant. .
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Salary Range for this position (depending upon experience): 

$110,000 - $125,000

 

This range reflects the minimum and maximum targets for new hires across all US locations (with the exception of MA, NY, and CA). Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training.
