Medical Assistant (Field-based)
Description
The CHS Medical Group Medical Assistant plays a crucial role on the team by performing both administrative and clinical tasks to support clinicians, ensuring efficient operations and providing high-quality patient care in both in person and virtual environments.

Position Description:
- Travel to patient homes to provide facilitated telehealth. The APP will participate in the telehealth visits both in person and virtually to complete assessments and provide primary care services.
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures.
- Collect specimens for testing.
- Administer medications as directed by a physician.
- Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the physician.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Provide coverage and ensure continuity for scheduling and patient outreach. Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
- Assist with medical inventory and supply orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program.
- Knowledge of medical office procedures, terminology, and medical billing/coding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
- Willingness to travel to patient homes and clinic sites 5 days per week with reliable transportation.
- Attention to detail.
- Compassionate patient care.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with a virtual and in person team.
- Bilingual, Spanish.
