The CHS Medical Group Medical Assistant plays a crucial role on the team by performing both administrative and clinical tasks to support clinicians, ensuring efficient operations and providing high-quality patient care in both in person and virtual environments.

Position Description:
  • Travel to patient homes to provide facilitated telehealth. The APP will participate in the telehealth visits both in person and virtually to complete assessments and provide primary care services.
  • Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist during medical procedures.
  • Collect specimens for testing.
  • Administer medications as directed by a physician.
  • Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the physician.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Provide coverage and ensure continuity for scheduling and patient outreach. Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records.
  • Assist with medical inventory and supply orders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
  • Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures, terminology, and medical billing/coding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and medical software.
  • Willingness to travel to patient homes and clinic sites 5 days per week with reliable transportation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Compassionate patient care.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work well with a virtual and in person team.
  • Bilingual, Spanish.
