Medical Assistant Training Instructor- IC
Description
The Instructor will support the Senior Consultant and Case Instructor in the day-to-day tasks related to the Medical Assistant Training Program and other educational opportunities as they arise. This will include the recruitment, marketing, and coordination of training, as well as teaching the medical assistant students.
Note: This role will ideally be located in Northern California and candidate must be flexible with travel. Flexible travelling is required. Travel is likely to be at least once monthly, but could be upwards of 2-3 trips per month. Travel may occur on weekends and/or weekdays as the training camp schedules will vary. Travel should be majority limited to the west coast. Northern California and Oregon.
Salary Ranges:
- CMA: $25-30 per hour
- LVN: $30-37 per hour
- RN: $37-43 per hour
Position Description:
- Coordinates and instructs assigned medical assistant coursework at the locations and times designated. Note that locations and times may be across different states and time zones.
- Teach, virtually and in-person, specified subjects related to the medical assistant curriculum for students’ comprehension.
- Administer tests and assignments to students to assess their learning and comprehension, as well as to measure the efficiency of the teaching methods.
- Conduct in-person skills labs that include coordination of logistics related to the skills labs, as well as instruction.
- Oversee and supervise the academic activities of the students to ensure they are performing well and to assist when students may have trouble. This includes tracking all student grades and level of engagement throughout the course.
- Develops and maintains an environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of resources provided.
- Learns and actively deploys the Learning Management System utilized by COPE Health Solutions.
- Conducts all coordination and preparation for classes and skills labs.
- Creates and monitors student practicum rotation schedules.
- Answers questions from potential students related to the Medical Assistant Training Program.
- Respond to emails regarding all COPE Medical Assistant Students
- Support research and administrative tasks related to all programs, as
- Support recruitment, marketing and social media
- Engage team members to leverage current knowledge and expertise to drive continuous process and quality
- Maintain work plans and a timeline for assigned projects as required by
- Support supervisor with program coordination and
- Develop and maintain high levels of client satisfaction internally and
- Ensure that the client/academic institutions understand and can articulate the value of our service(s).
- Carry out all other tasks, duties and responsibilities as needed
Qualifications:
- Certified MA, LVN or RN
- Strong customer drive and dedication to quality and success
- Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work well independently
- Analytical thinking skills and a strong and dedicated work ethic are required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Familiarity and proficiency with social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Snapchat
