The Consultant, Health Care Data Analytics is responsible for working closely our Consulting, Medical Economics, and Data Analytics as a Service teams to enhance current processes from design to code efficiency and develop models for new metrics to increase actionable insights in managed care. This role plays an important part in ensuring that businesses needs are translated into the technical requirements need to facilitate further building out the ARC platform.

Position Description: 
  • Work closely with members of the Consulting, Medical Economics, and Data teams, executives and staff to accomplish the goals, objectives and strategic plans for the company, continually seek opportunities to add value and differentiate our services
  • Provide project management support, including managing day-to-day operations, maintaining work plans and timelines, preparing status reports and ensuring effective coordination with clients and team members.
  • Design, develop and implement quantitative analyses on drivers of health care cost and utilization using integrated health care datasets to support population health analytics, modeling and financial pro forma development.
  • Create scalable, automated processes for identifying potential areas for population health improvement, including clinical outcomes, network utilization, financial performance, among others.
  • Analyze data from various sources, recommend best approaches for its consolidation, and contribute to the development, validation, and management of the firm’s data and analytics infrastructure 
  • Maintain reporting tools within the firm’s internal structure and client databases and recommend quality and process improvement as identified
  • Service client accounts and cross-functional teams for population health analytics and health care technology needs 
  • Engage with key subject matter experts to help define new metrics and translate into technical requirements 
  • Package analytical outputs for distribution in a concise and meaningful manner 
Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree with a quantitative, health care, business, or technical focus preferred
  • 1-3 years of professional experience performing analytics within the healthcare and/or consulting space
  • Strong SQL skills are required 
  • Knowledge of data visualization and Business Intelligence platforms preferred (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, Power BI)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional ability to effectively communicate with technical and business colleagues and clients to make complex analytics and medical economics ideas understood  
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Skills related to effective project management, including strong work ethic, attention to detail, time management, ability to prioritize, problem solving, flexibility and willingness to learn
