The Health Scholar Assistant will support the Value Based Consulting department in a temporary capacity. The Health Scholar Assistant will support the consulting team with grant writing, project management, delivery development, meeting note taking, and QA as well as application completion. The successful candidate will support COPE Health Solutions' CalAIM partnership in a temporary capacity, with a commitment of up to 12 hours per week for at least two months.

Position Description:

  • Completing CITED applications for current CalAIM clients outlining project objectives, impact on the program, and process for sustaining the project post grant period. The grant applications are between 1,000 and 2,000 words each and the HSA would support anywhere from 1 – 6 applications between January and March. The HSA would work with client account team to align on application objectives and items included within the application.  
  • Project managing CalAIM client accounts and/or deliverables in partnership with client account teams. This would include tracking and creation of agendas, meeting note taking, tracking follow-up, tracking deliverable completing, tracking business development opportunities, and other tasks/items as noted by the account teams.  
  • Developing deliverables for CalAIM accounts. This could include complete creation of new deliverables with guidance from account team, QA of templated deliverables, or edits to current deliverables to tailor them to the specific client.

 Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required 
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare administrative position or internship, with experience in grant writing and/project management preferred 
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong customer drive and dedication to quality and success 
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills 
  • Basic understanding of the health care industry 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
