The COPE Health Solutions team is looking for a Los Angeles-based Health Scholar to join our People Experience (HR) Team. This internship is an exciting opportunity that provides exposure to corporate human resources, recruiting, reporting and tracking processes. The Health Scholar Assistant will be responsible for coordinating recruitment and onboarding process and providing support to the People Experience department for our Los Angeles and New York City offices.

This Health Scholar Assistant is an exciting opportunity that provides exposure to corporate human resources, recruiting, reporting and tracking processes as well as touch base in some Human resources functions.

Position Description:

  • Assist in all phases of the recruitment process with special attention to: 
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews and case studies for our Los Angeles and New York City offices.
  • Posting new positions on our website and external recruiting sources 
  • Update internal reports in a timely and efficient manner with the status of all candidates in the interview process
  • Distribute recruiting and interview materials to interviewees, interviewers and hiring managers
  • Conduct reference checks for potential hires
  • Administer pre hire assessment
  • Update Corporate Calendar for new hires
  • Provide new hire materials.
  • Maintain electronic filing system for employee records
  • Process building access requests for employees and visitors
  • Regularly update the company’s Team employee directory
  • Schedule and coordinate 30-day check-in meetings with new employees
  • Regularly update and maintain various spreadsheets
  • Invite candidates to new hire Orientation 
  • Upkeep equipment inventory and follow up on missing equipment from terminated employees
  • Any other miscellaneous task as needed

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to commit at least 20 hours per week to this internship.
  • Strong customer drive and dedication to quality and success.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well independently
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment
