Summary  

Responsible for the development and performance of all contract sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs sales team. Responsible for all departments of contract sales.   

Essential Functions  

  • Ensures that all contract department team members meet or exceed all activity standards for prospecting calls, appointments, presentations, proposals and closes
  • Delegate authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up
  • Sets examples as a working manager for sales team members in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with sales team members to build motivation and selling skills
  • Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  
  • Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees
  • Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications  

  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Current and valid US driver’s license preferred
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in sales and personnel management
  • At least 1 year of experience with estimating software solutions
  • At least 1 year of experience with the commercial door and hardware industry required
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities   

  • Strong customer relation skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of door hardware, access control, and locks
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
  • Works closely with other managers to build consensus in our approach to the train of the sales team
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

Work Environment    

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require business travel.
