Summary

The Regional Operations Support Manager plays a crucial role in bolstering the effectiveness and efficiency of the Operations Department. Working closely under the guidance of the Regional Operations Manager, this role is instrumental in implementing strategic initiatives, optimizing operational processes, and ensuring the achievement of operational excellence across the region. The position requires a dynamic, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to continuous improvement and operational innovation.

Essential Functions

  • Act as the primary support to the Regional Operations Manager, assisting in the management and execution of operational strategies.
  • Coordinate with various departments to facilitate smooth operation processes and ensure the alignment of operational activities with overall organizational goals.
  • Assist in the oversight of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety compliance, and profitability within the region.
  • Support the implementation of training programs, safety protocols, and quality standards across all operational sites.
  • Conduct regular analysis of operational data to identify trends, forecast needs, and recommend improvements.
  • Engage with team members across all levels to promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Participate in the development and monitoring of performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of operational strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports to the Regional Operations Manager on operational progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Represent the Operations Department in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and updates on operational initiatives and progress.
  • Facilitate communication and information flow between the regional operations team and other departments to ensure cohesive operational efforts.
  • Other relative duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, with a proven track record of supporting operational excellence and team management.
  • Previous experience in the commercial door, hardware, and system integration industry highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Comsense or similar operational management software.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed within the region to support operational initiatives and site visits.

Physical Demands 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and see. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to  handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.  Frequent lifting required of items 5-25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Work Environment  

This job operates in both a professional office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites. Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
