Maintenance Technician

CONREX is a leader in the Single-Family Rental industry, and we believe that our employees are our greatest strength. We are seeking a strong Maintenance Technician in the Greenville/Spartanburg, SC area. 

Job Summary:

This role will address post-occupancy repair/renovation and maintenance issues. Work in tandem with the local property management team under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager. Address punch lists and correct other deficiencies in occupied properties

Key Accountabilities & Activities:

Daily Performance Management

  • Assist in all aspects of the property’s maintenance including preventative, corrective, deferred and emergency maintenance
  • Works indoors and outdoors
  • Constant need to be on feet, climb stairs, push, pull, climb ladders, lift and carry materials and equipment of varying weights
  • Utilize personal transportation to pick up supplies and drive to job sites
  • Responsible for obtaining fair housing certification
  • Regular and prompt attendance required
  • Complete work orders in timely manner and send report to direct supervisor

Customer Service Expectations

  • Be kind, understanding, and empathetic of resident complaints and maintenance requests
  • Be on time, professional, complete the job accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure, correct, fix the first time
  • Respect the residents’ home; clean up after yourself
  • Represent Conrex with the highest standard providing the best customer service

Key Metrics:

  • Work orders completed on a daily and weekly basis
  • Number of rescheduled appointments
  • Number of repeat visits to fix the same issue
  • Customer satisfaction

Education and Experience:

  • 3 years of maintenance experience
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Ability to utilize technology to communicate effectively and schedule appointments
  • Knowledge of all types of construction repairs and renovations
  • HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical knowledge not required but preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite Experience
  • Fair Housing Certification
  • HVAC Certification (preferred)

  • Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively with the management staff as well as the residents. Must inform the manager when the job is completed or when it needs to be rescheduled. Must inform your manager when the job is above your skills abilities. Must communicate with the resident if you will be running late.
