About the Role:

We are seeking a senior analyst to join our investor relations team. In this high-impact role, the IR senior analyst will report to our IR senior manager and work with our Head of IR, to help execute the company's IR strategy and plan, project and manage earnings releases and investor days, and support the day-to-day activities.

As a senior analyst, you will have a broad level of exposure throughout the organization. You will collaborate across a variety of groups, including finance, accounting, legal, marketing, and product teams, as well as external stakeholders such as sell-side analysts and institutional investors. To excel in this role, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, world-class analytical and project management skills, and proven ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced, dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment. 

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain accurate consensus models, peer benchmarking, and other quantitative materials and provide timely insights and feedback to cross-functional teams
  • Monitor competitive landscape, tech industry, and peer group for key themes, trends, relevant news and updates; synthesize and share the insights with company leaders
  • Perform valuation, benchmarking, competitive, and market analysis to inform investor messaging and corporate strategy
  • Assist in all aspects of the quarterly earnings process including but not limited to, managing the cross-functional earnings release timeline, updating investor and earnings presentations, and checking all other earnings documents for accuracy
  • Manage the full cycle of our IR marketing calendars, including preparing briefing documents for senior executives attending investor events
  • Run the operations of the IR program: IR alias mailbox, IR website, CRM updates, vendor management, earnings logistics, investor events, analyst day, annual meeting, etc.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects such as building an automated IR dashboard

What You Will Bring:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Communications, or Business, MBA desired or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in investor relations, equity research, or investment banking
  • Excellent proficiency in Google Docs, Google Slides, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with IR systems such as FactSet and IR Insights
  • Strong financial analysis skills, with a strong understanding of valuation and modeling techniques used by investors and analysts
  • Strong business acumen, attention to detail, curiosity of learning about the capital market and our business, capability of anticipating needs before asked, and the highest level of integrity and maintaining confidentiality
  • One Team spirit, with exceptional ability to work with people across teams and build/maintain relationships
  • Strong work ethic and the commitment to driving operational excellence with a proactive problem-solving approach and continuing to drive process improvements

At Confluent, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry standards. We analyze and carefully consider several factors when determining compensation, including work history, education, professional experience, and location. This position has an annual estimated salary of $99,600 - $117,000 USD, an annual bonus, and a competitive equity package.
