ABOUT THE POSITION   

Reporting to the Director, Bar and Beverage at Concorde Entertainment Group, the Bar Production Manager plays a key role in supporting successful bar programs across the company. The Bar Production Manager is responsible for preparing kegged cocktails, garnishes, syrups, and juices, ordering product, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring that bar programs across the company have what they need to run a smooth service. This position will be primarily supporting venues located within Stephen Avenue Place, Bridgette Bar in Canmore, and others on an as needed basis. The successful candidate is an individual who enjoys structuring their own schedule, can pivot when needed, takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and enjoys being in a role that combines aspects from both front and back of house operations. This is a full-time on-site role that is based in Stephen Avenue Place.

WHAT YOU’LL DO   

Prepare   

    • Closely follow recipes to batch-make and keg cocktails, prepare kegs for transport, and ensure that they are delivered to the venues on time and when needed.
    • Prepare syrups for cocktails.
    • Cut and dehydrate citrus for garnishes.
    • Support the commissary/catering team with bar operations, providing appropriate recommendations, fresh ingredients, and logistical support for each event as needed.

Liaise    

    • Effectively manage consistent cooperation and communication between venue leadership, the commissary/ catering team, and the events team.
    • Coordinate transportation and deliveries of products and equipment for various locations.
    • Communicate with venue management on expected sales, needs, special events, and other factors that may influence preparation of products and offerings to ensure successful service.
    • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies through communicating with management and staff.

Organize   

    • Understand products and services, develop new prospects for opportunity, and understand venue and guest needs clearly.
    • Forecast sales to formulate goals and assist employees to meet goals.
    • Evaluate current practices and processes, immediately recognize potential areas of conflict, and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products, and availability of offerings.
    • Manage invoicing, ordering, transportation, and deliveries of products and equipment.
    • Other tasks required.

WHO YOU ARE   

    • 2-3+ years’ previous experience in large event catering/bartending, bar operations, or a kitchen production environment is required.
    • Experience working in a commercial kitchen is an asset.  
    • Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with coworkers, partners, vendors, and customers.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
    • Demonstrated ability to organize efficient work schedules and work effectively under pressure to achieve objectives.
    • Experience and knowledge of budget analysis methods, general accounting skills and ability to forecast sales.
    • Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of joining.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs.
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite.
