ABOUT THE POSITION      

Lulu Bar is looking for Commissary Production Cooks to fill out their team on a full-time or part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in fast paced kitchens with attention to detail and execution. The commissary production cook is responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, food preparation, inventory control, and expert time management. If you enjoy a creative, fast-paced work environment, and love working in a team environment, this is the job for you.

WHAT YOU'LL GET     

    • Hourly wage $24.00 an hour plus gratuities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO   

    • Preparation, production and execution of Commissary Kitchen items and food quality standards according to detailed recipes and instructions
    • Butchering high-quality meats that supply our restaurant
    • Receiving and storing deliveries
    • Cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of kitchen equipment and food production spaces
    • Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the venue.
    • Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to by in the preparation and handling of food items.
    • Ensure that the venue is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
    • Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner
    • Ensure all food products are stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated, to minimize waste, maximize quality, and ensure freshness.
    • Adhere to all policies and guidelines, checklists, prep sheets, and par sheets, as assigned.
    • Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required.

WHAT YOU HAVE    

    • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
    • Strong team player that leads by example and has demonstrated the ability to reliably execute or delegate work to meet objectives.
    • Ability to fluently communicate in both written and verbal English.
    • Basic math skills are required.
    • Food Safe Certification is required but can be obtained within 30 days of joining.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50lbs.
    • Open scheduling availability is a requirement.
