Role Summary
This role presents an exciting opportunity to not only become an expert in our industry-leading RWD assets, products and solutions, but to develop and implement new analyses that will streamline the way that we field data analysis requests from customers helping them to more quickly extract value and realize the data’s full potential.

ConcertAI seeks a growth-oriented individual as its new Business Intelligence Analyst. The Business Intelligence (BI) analyst will work closely with ConcertAI’s internal customers to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions. They will provide data that is accurate, congruent, reliable and is easily accessible. The BI analyst will educate and train ConcertAI’s internal customers to use the data as an analytical tool, displaying the information in new form and content for the purpose of analysis and exploring options. Starting from reporting out on existing data, the BI analyst will quickly be expected to turn current reports into repeatable dashboards which meet up-to-date internal customer needs and can be relied on by ConcertAI’s executive leadership team. The analyst will work closely with ConcertAI’s customer-facing team to turn data into critical insights used to improve new and existing customers’ success.

This role will help the business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience and business results. The BI analyst will also interact with various development teams, project managers, senior management, and external vendors. This role will also regularly work with data scientists in Data Products and other teams though the predominant focus will be on customer-originated requests to help the Data Products team drive improvement in customer experience and its ability to continue to communicate key changes in a timely manner to its customers. This individual understands how data is turned into information and knowledge and how the knowledge supports and enables key business processes. He or she must develop an in-depth understanding of the business environment and possess both strong analytical and communication skills. Further, the BI analyst must work well within a team environment.


  • Become an expert and thought leader in our RWD assets, products, and solutions
  • Participate in pre-sales conversations with customers and sales teams to evaluate feasibility of client requests and propose solutions that meet client needs
  • Apply data analysis skills to support customer-originated requests in their use of the data for both simple, quick turn-around and complex, more sophisticated analyses
  • Develop processes to track, prioritize, organize, and communicate updated information around our RWD assets, products, and solutions
  • Develop strategies and processes to create and maintain knowledge bases and algorithms/business rules to increase data usability by customers
  • Design database queries and conduct analyses to help product managers build a relevant body of documentation for customers to promote ease-of-use
  • Use market expertise to help sales foster long-term relationships
  • Develop a strong understanding of client needs and objectives and of our ability to add-value in a particular situation
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to maintain the source of truth for ConcertAI’s data and offerings across multiple business units
  • Translate business needs to actionable offerings
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions, such as dashboards for internal monitoring of data
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Design database queries and conduct analyses
  • Detailed Pharma Pipeline Dashboards
  • Provide strategic News feed into accounts leads
  • Provide integrated thought pieces and micro-analyses before critical meetings and presentations by using our own data as well as external market data
  • Understanding of the oncology or healthcare drug development space


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or specialized training/certification, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years background in data analysis in the life sciences with extensive use of coding skills, a specialized data analysis training/certification, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3+ years of experience with clinical data analysis/data science preferably in pharmaceutical healthcare (oncology)
  • Proven experience as a BI developer/analyst or data scientist with a focus on pre-sales activities.
  • Familiarity with creating and reporting from visualization tools, such as Power BI and SharePoint
  • Experience with advanced Excel functionality
  • Working knowledge and experience querying databases (SQL preferred) and database analytics tools (Python preferred)
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and communicate data
  • Proven ability to take initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
