Summary of the Role

Our engineering team is looking for a technical, service-oriented, talented Data Operations Engineer. In undertaking this challenge, you will use the latest distributed computing technologies to run our data pipeline processes on large-scale data. These pipeline processes span ingesting, scrubbing, suppressing, codifying and publishing. Our engineering team works in a fast-paced, rapid-learning environment with leaders in software development, working with massive data sets and healthcare data analytics.


· Execute data pipelines and other data service requests.

· Triage and resolve data pipeline issues.

· Run data quality reports and perform data improvement interventions.

· Monitor the progress of data flow and report status to a broader team.

· Attend daily standups, report status, plan next set of service tasks.

· Identify and implement new processes and scripts to improve efficiency and quality.

· Serve as a technical resource in resolving questions related to databases or other data issues.


· Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline or engineering

· 2-5 years experience running ETL processes (preferrably in AWS)

· Amazon Web Services experience: Redshift, IAM, Lambda, Glue (preferable)

· Proficient with scripting languages, such as Python, Windows Powershell

· RDBMS and SQL skills

· Organized, methodical and focused on detail

· Strong communication skills

· Experience in healthcare industry with healthcare data analytics products (preferred)

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

· Comfortable working against timelines and managing multiple assignments

· Self-motivated and results-oriented

· Team contributor
