Description

Program to provide a constructive, multi-resolution simulation, which supports the training of commanders and their staffs in exercises involving live and simulated land, air and maritime forces. The system supports a broad range of command levels through Marine Expeditionary Force and Joint Task Force. Ground Combat, Intelligence, Air Operations, Fire Support, Maritime and Amphibious Operations, Combat Engineering, Combat Service Support, and Nuclear Biological Chemical (NBC) combat models execute in a synthetic natural environment including digitized terrain, weather, sea state, and time of day.

The Re-engineering Objectives for development of this program are:

The tasks to implement the Re-engineering Objectives are:

  • Develop and integrate a Parallel Virtual File System (PVFS)
  • Develop and integrate a Message Passing Interface (MPI)
  • Develop and integrate a Process Management Interface (PMI)
  • Convert Ada code to a modern code set – C#
  • Convert code to a modular architecture
  • Update of current MTWS software and Technical Data Package (TDP)
  • Create a script and xml schema data architecture
  • Provide methods to modify User Experience displays
  • Provide training to the user community for the updated system
  • Convert the database structure to a modern scalable structure

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
  • Five years of relevant engineering experience
  • Experience in an Engineering role with responsibilities in the planning, designing, implementation, testing, and delivery of a system with Cyber/Information Assurance requirements
  • Experience with design, implementation, compliance, testing of cybersecurity controls
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), negotiation and interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with engineering teams, management, customers, partners and government
  • Experience providing expert level assistance in the development of the cybersecurity elements of a DevSecOps pipeline and support the development of a RMF Package to receive Authority to Test and Authority to Operate
  • IAM Level II/III certification
  • UNIX/LINUX command line experience.
  • Scripting and programming experience.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience
